NORTHERN NIGERIA TURN-ONS ❤❤

So, first thing I noticed was the neat roads. You'd think everywhere will be littered, but trust you. I can almost tell you I didn't see a satchet water wrap dropping on the road in all three hours (you'll think I'm exaggerating...) Well, maybe I didn't notice them tho. But one thing is, I didn't even slumber, so sleeping off is ticked off the list. (My non-Nigerian audience will think it's no biggie. But sweethearts, in this part of the world, it is. I mean, why do you need trash bags or bins when the roads are there to cast your refuse on? Everywhere is a refusedump 🙄 God save us from people who wouldn't help keep our Nigeria clean, Amen!!!)

Have I told you of how organized these people are? Northerners? Well, again, I've never come across such at my side (maybe there are such instances, but I never came across them.)
For instance, the very first fuel station we branched was issuing receipt. For petrol bro, petrol. I was awed. The driver even helped the attendant fuel the car while the attendant was busy with the receipt. I think this falls under honesty again. Like, they trust themselves here. And this division of labour made the queue move faster at the station 'cos the receipt writing could've slowed things down. My side? I laugh 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Attendant will leave his tank with a driver? Commercial driver at that? So that the guy add two extra litres and call it 'jara' (you need to be Yoruba to know what that is. How will I translate now... Errrm, so usually, when you buy something, they put a little extra for you, your reward for patronizing the business kind of. Now imagine people putting this extra on fuel. How much fuel is gonna be left in the tank? Where's the profit? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂) And my people love 'jara.' Even I love my 'jara' 🤗

Still under organization, the garages were issuing tickets to taxis entering and leaving the garage. This was so cool. This way, you can put a tab on how many passengers a garage had over time and also estimate the financial strength of the garage (the taxis either bring in passengers or luggage).

Also, the uniformed people I met on the way were really doing their work (please don't let me say more than that 😑🤗🤗)

And bro, these people are as hardworking as whatever you can imagine. Just like the Easterners are known with business, the northerners wouldn't sit idle either. They wouldn't beg for alms, putting their burden on others, no chance. They'll do anything 'doable.' For instance, in my camp, the locals will sell hot water (it was close to harmattan, Katsina was cold mehn 😩😩). And cold water, they fetch for you at a price. The little boys wouldn't collect the least amount from you without first doing a chore. I was challenged.

What else am I leaving out?

I think the major challenge was the language and slight religious differences. Lol. That leaves me with one more gist. Lol 😂😂 (Ok, let me not laugh too much, you might not find this exactly funny 😒). So, I was the only one who had my with hair uncovered in that garage and it's environs. Made me really uneasy. For the first time in a long while, I wished I was with a big enough scarf. Thank God for the lady corp members I told you about (they were Easterner, so, relating with them was kind of easier). Did I tell you guys I literally hijacked these ladies? I made them sit with me at all cost. Again, for the first time in my travelling history, I cared about who was sitting next to me 'cos I didn't plan to have an ''earpiece plugged in journey.''

Dearies, I'm not familiar with this terrain 💁 Did I say 'not familiar?' I'm a stranger here!!! I have to be alert and chat away.

And, errr, one more thing, sorry 🤗 There's this relationship between the educated Northerner and the uneducated one; so cordial 😩😩😩😩 (my 'speechless tears' 🤗). Should I just say humility is their thing? I don't actually know how to word this particular attribute 😒...

Is that all for now? Let me think... 🤔 NO!!!!!!!!!
It's time for the CAMP gist proper, yayyyyyy!!!💃💃💃💃💃💃 I'm not the only one excited right? 😁

...so, onto the next...

A New Dawn Is Here

Hyhyhy! Hello lovelies. So I've had this page on for, 3 years now right? And it's been idle ever since. I agree, I've been lazy, giving the poor state of my phone for an excuse. I must tell you I'm still using the phone, lol. So, I want to get the page active again, you know this fire refueled. But then, I need our encouragements. Please drop your comments on articles dropped and make sure to refer them to your friends and friends. We don't do enemies right? 😂😂 Although, there might be a little edition in the page title, or should I say diversion in contents. Actually, it was me all crazy about poems when setting up the page, but then, growth comes with a new kind of focus and determination you know. So we will be having more of gender activism, not just narrowed down to feminism, but also treating the few cases of male child abuse as they come in focus, God helping me. Maybe a few poems or motivations at times, and of course, we continually bring ourselves ...

Virginity is really no biggie afterall; it isn't the icing, let alone the cake 💁💁

...since I already took permission to 'just write' and I believe I've been granted the permit (read my apologies - previous post, for better understanding), LET'S DIG! YAY!!!💃💃💃💃 As I was saying, virginity or abstinence is really no biggie you know? Hold up, sip water, I'll break it down, let's journey... (Errm, so I realize some of my audience aren't just Nigerians, let alone Yorubas, but please try and follow, I'll make sure not to lose you 💖💖 I'll be making a few references to Yorubas. Some might even be similar to what you have around you...) ...so, I know some Yoruba gods and goddesses demand their worship done (or sacrifices carried) by just virgins just because these gods love purity. So, to start with, I'll say virginity is more about consecration. Did you know occultists demand 'virginity' in order to keep their powers safe and intact; potent. This time, more of abstinence or they are said to have committed a sacrile...

What exactly defines manhood?

Hello! Welcome back 😊 So, earlier this month, I was having an outpour of anger on one of my social media accounts, my WhatsApp status to be precise, so much that a friend had to call me to check, saying I'm a borderline sexist. Lol! You can imagine how much I vexed so much that I was called to check 😂😂 But then, like I later shared with another friend, I was throwing shades on the menfolk 'cos of younger men. Imagine a father, one of those 'I'm the man' diehards; he wouldn't mind going naked so you know he is masculine, pff! A widower! You wouldn't want to imagine how much he squanders his wife's investments after her demise. This same woman was the breadwinner of the family while alive, doing everything to give her family the best, not excluding her husband, still... Now, even at her death, he couldn't hold up for 6months. The children are thrown out of school. He's after asses... Lots to his credit. But he's the man! And the wife...
