No mistakes, I meant to use that title. It is!!! I'm sure you all are asking questions...
Isn't she all about making changes?
Then how would she if she isn't interested in the political affairs of her state?
Isn't she politically literate?
Oh! Or you're drawing conclusions:
'Yet another ''too much talks and never do'''
'She's one of the reasons the world is still the way it is, pouring out anger on the internet and in gatherings without interest in making efforts to change the condition of things.'
Well, there was a time I was keen on entering into politics just to turn the tables and play fair.
Later, I just wanted to read law and fight injustice.
Then again, I changed my mind. I just wanted to have adequate knowledge of law so I can fight peoples' course the right way, women and children especially (we're mostly the voiceless or unheard and with lots at stake).
So, as it seems, I've always been about legality.
But then, what made this once upon a time aspiring politician put on the apolitical robe?
So I was at this government owned childcare and correctional centre today (thanks to the youth wing of my assembly). This centre is older than my state and it stays old (no amenity or support whatsoever from the state government). And we were guessing, maybe since the nature of the centre makes it collect from the government instead of adding to revenue (more expenditure), so she was neglected 💁💁 Government has got more pressing projects right? They weight beyond the orphans and children with special needs (cerebral palsy most especially) who are committed to government care of course 🙄🙄
Imagine! One of these government kids was treated at a government hospital and the hospital wouldn't discharge the girl back to the home. Why? She's yet to pay up. Who's supposed to be held responsible? Isn't it the government? But then she owns both institutions. I thought provision should have been in place for such situations but NO!!! Is it the staffs with meagre salary, who are already sacrificing enough for these kids that'll again bear the brunt? Hello! They have homes of their own. I'm sure the hospital will use the girl for lots of errands before letting her go since she can't pay up. Lol. The ministry says there's no cash at hand. (Evil laugh🙄🙄).
LOL. So I broke into tears hearing all of these. The staffs then came up with the ''this should help you appreciate God and your parents more, at least you have people to call your own unlike these kids.'' I could only stare at them. Of course, I do not take God's love and mercies shown to me for granted. But then, the reason for the tears, they didn't care to know, quick assumptions and conclusions, pfft! I WAS HURTING!!! Those in government have huge sums allocated to their feeding, wardrobe, health and all. Their wards? Well catered for of course. But these ones with no one? Not only that, they even have serious health challenges and they're still left for dead right under the government's care? Treated as a burden to government 😭😭 Disregarded!!!
Fine, you can leave us broke masses broke 💁 Don't make our roads. Don't create employment for us. Don't give us scholarships. Don't build good hospitals for us. We don't want clean water. We'll manage, we'll survive, we've been surviving, God has been faithful. (Like you even had it in mind to do any 🙄). But these ones with no one to call their own? Where's your humanity? Isn't your heart bleeding?
So yes, I'll stay apolitical. It wouldn't be easy changing the rules of the game of politics anyway and I don't even wanna stress. I'll play out my civic duties no doubt, but I wouldn't spare a split second that can make the difference in my life arguing/talking politics. Instead, I'll focus on being a success and help those within my reach; make impact, influence positive changes, serve humanity. That's the sole of our existence after all. GOD HELP ME and other like minds out there.
Going back memory lane, I'm not sure I ever said 'Amen' to the 'you shall be President/Governor/First Lady' prayer. It's not a career, it's not supposed to be one. It's service. And since we've taken it to be the peak of all careers, then the crazy rush for it is justified: more pay. No wonder governance is mostly self-centered, gluttonous, greedy, inhumane amongst others. I honestly do not pwant to be caught in that web 🙄🙄
Smiles. But then, there's backyard politics. Those with financial strength are mostly the 'government' in the real terms of it right? Likes of Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and Nigeria's Tony Elumelu and Dangote amongst others. They can choose to do without the government, but can the government really do without them? You know, when you don't join in blaming the government for woes in the state 'cos you know you can actually render more help than the government can. Lol. They might even need loans.
...way it seems, no government is getting better till private individuals get their priorities right and mentality in order.
P.S, can I please beg us to overlook typographical and grammatical errors? Thank you 💖💖💖💖💖 Love you too 🤗🤗 I'll love to chill my blood a lil... 🚶🚶💃💃
