Seems this is going to be one of my few days of exceptions. We're on the HE side, yay!!! 💃💃💃💃
So I was in this seminar few weeks back, a youth seminar, and then we got to the health section and they decided to give adolescents sex education. Luckily, a few parents were in attendance.
To the main gist, both speakers kept repeating 'boys and girls, feel free to communicate all changes to your mothers, both the physical and emotional changes.' Did I mention that the anchor of the program was a HE. On getting a hold of the microphone after the lectures, the first thing he did was attacking the speakers. He went 'PLEASE LET THESE CHILDREN BE CLOSE TO US FATHERS TOO, ATLEAST THE BOYS, NOT JUST THE MOTHERS, YOU KNOW WE WOULD BE ABLE TO RELATE BETTER TO THE CHANGES THEY EXPERIENCE, A GUY TO GUY THING' LOL! I couldn't hold back the laugh. He went on, '...you know we men grew up keeping to ourselves, so they may find it difficult talking to their mothers' Now, that was what made me stop laughing.
I realised this fact, even men want to be involved! Judging by the man's first statement. And like it's mostly said, iono if there's a scientific backing or not, males are more emotional beings than the female.
But then, this one thing keep spoiling the broth, EGO! Sometimes, I don't want to blame men but the society, their upbringing. I've conversed with a few guys who keep saying all they care about is putting food on the table, damning relationship with their kids, especially the boychild. Why? They didn't have a relationship with their father either and to them, that's the right model and they have to pass it on to generations to come.
Sweethearts, don't die at 50. Don't leave that pretty woman a widow at 35. Share your hard and good times, she's your ride or die, your 'for better for worse.' Enough of 'guys don't talk.' Don't give in to depression, bitterness, untimely death and ultimately, suicide. CRY when you need to, 'men don't cry is all charade.' The tear gland wouldn't have been in males if that was to be the case and my God doesn't make mistakes.
And females, let's be understanding, it's high time we have a new breed of males. Build your son into the kind of man even you would love over and again. Let the boychild relate freely with you, stop shunning him and giving the 'aren't you a man' talks. Both gender should be trained to be responsible, bold and respectful. Enough of making a particular gender feel he's responsible for the other, else he'll be less a man. I have a lil nephew, my first time seeing a boy grow and if you see him expressing himself ehn... Meaning, the 'men aren't weak, men don't express themselves' is an attitude we picked on getting to planet earth.
Summary! Enough of the cheating the HE emotionally!
